Season 2 - Day 50

There is an old saying that states "The end of one thing is the beginning of another." When looking at the current global economic conditions, this statement rings more true than ever. Kaybee toy stores started in 1922 and are a staple point for children around the USA. Recently, the Board of Directors for Kaybee toys announced it plans to close all 277 stores by early 2009. In less than a year the foundation of an 86 year old company crumbles to nothing.

Likewise, earlier this month other giant chain stores such as Circuit City, Mervyn's, Starbucks, and many more have announced huge job cuts and store closures. This is significant because when the "to big to fail" companies lose revenue, it brings money back to "Main Street." This means while the huge mega malls wither and close, local main street establishments will experience a revival. This systemic change is the perfect opportunity for entrepreneurs.

The mantra for 2008 has been "Change." The current economic situation facilitates the new revolution for those who are savvy enough make definite decisions, while acting quickly on their plans. The Law of Attraction states that when a business closes its doors, another business will benefit greatly. Money is energy and it always flows towards the path of least resistance. Never in recent times has the opportunity to create a comfortable lifestyle been so attainable. The entrepreneur who sees and acts upon the current and near future trends will experience success on a higher level than in recent memory.

Yet while this may seem overly simplified, many people will procrastinate and find themselves in even worse financial straights. Procrastination is the killer of all dreams, desires, and achievements. To combat this scourge upon mankind, one must stay vigilant and keep pushing for that which they want. We all experience moments of dragging our feet or outright laziness, yet when we persevere through the drudging feeling of wane, that is when personal growth and character is formed.

Today I have decided to continue expanding my non-profit organization and other business ventures. I am in the process of raising enough money to fulfill my short term goals, which will provide desperately needed infrustructure to people in need. More and more I picture in my mind what it feels like to achieve this. The journey has only yet begun!
